Description: To the Editor: I read with interest the article by Leliefeld et al. (Leliefeld PH, Gooskens RHJM, Vincken KL, et al: Magnetic resonance imaging for quantitive flow measurement in infants with hydrocephalus: a prospective study. J Neurosurg Pediatrics 2:163–170, September, 2008). I wish to discuss 2 topics of interest raised by the authors' work: 1) is the measurement of cerebral blood flow (CBF), as noted in infants, going to be a useful way to diagnose symptomatic hydrocephalus in older-age groups; and 2) where is the site of the hemodynamically significant vascular compression in hydrocephalus?
